Nova Pediatrics has been a true family to us the moment our first son was born on May 15, 1997. We now have three children two boys and a girl ages 13, 8,and 4 years old. All three have been patients at Nova since they were newborn babies. We couldn’t have asked for a better practice to provide such an outstanding care for our three children. We first came to Nova Pediatrics a few days after our oldest son was born with symptoms of jaundice. Nurses Rosemary and Linda were ourvery first nurses at the practice.They provided excellent care of our baby boy and the support needed as first time parents. We are extremely grateful! With their advice, great care, and many days riding our son around in the car following the sun for vitamin D, the jaundice cleared up. We continue to be so impressed by our whole experience and the quality service we receive every time we visit. Throughout the years, all the doctors and nurses continue to be professional, caring, nice, and supportive each and every day. Over the past 14 years we can only say positive things about Nova Pediatrics. From the moment you walk through the door everyone from the front desk to the checkout desk consistently provides a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

We know that we can always call Nova day or night for simple or complex questions concerning our children. Our daughter had to be hospitalized when she was 8 months old with the Rotavirus. When I called the office about her symptoms late one evening, Dr. Rogers immediately said to take her to the emergency room. Thank goodness we did right away, because our baby girl was so dehydrated and requiredan I.V.

Dr. Meyer was our doctor and took great care of our daughter while she was in the hospital for three days. She reassured us that everything was going to be fine and gave us the comfort we needed during this frightening time. As parents it’s very difficult seeing your children sick or hurt; therefore simply just hearing kind words and having an outstanding practice makes it all much easier to handle. Having a doctor’s office that is fully committed and dedicated to children is very important to us. Nova Pediatrics continues to promote excellence and compassion to not only children, but to the entire family. We are proud to say that we have Nova Pediatrics as our primary care physicians for our children and will continue to recommend Nova Pediatrics to family and friends. Thank you Nova Pediatrics for making these past 14 years a wonderful and rewarding experience for our family!

A Word of Thanks

As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health and welfare of my children. When my son was born in 2002, it was a life changing experience. Our physician at the time was retiring and we relocated from Washington, DC to Northern Virginia. The whole experience was a bit daunting. We began looking for a pediatrician for our then ten-month-old son. It was my husband that actually found Nova Pediatrics and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Not more than five months after the relocation our daughter, Sophia was born. At 34 weeks she was barely 4 pounds, I was devastated. She was so small, helpless and sickly and there I was powerless to “fix” her. I remember walking into the office for her first appointment, she’d just been released from the hospital after spending the first month of her life in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Nurse Linda looked at her smiled then looked at me and said “Don’t worry mom, she’s perfect, we’ll take good care of you both”. I could barely choke back the tears. It was like a weight had been lifted and I could breathe again.

As parents it's comforting to have a support system of people who understand, empathize, and that we feel have a genuine concern and compassion for the well being of our children. Parenting isn’t easy, and choosing the right provider to us was critical. The staff at Nova Peds is warm and the people are real. They talk with me and make me feel at ease. Nova Peds has been with my family for the past eight years through all the good and the bad. They have compassionately cared for each and every one of our eight amazing children. I was looking for a “friend” for the next two or three decades and what we found was so much more.

For all that you have done for me and my children – thank you hardly seems enough!!
